Alan Webber, owner of a nationwide transportation and logistics company, has released his second book installment, “Roll Me Away.” The novel continues the story of Tim Harrison, a company driver for Saxon Brothers Trucking in Dallas, Texas, who was first introduced in Webber’s previous work, “Whipping Post.”

Now living on a ranch outside Cave Creek, Arizona, Tim and his dog, Rory, are assigned a steady route between El Paso, Texas, and Tijuana, Mexico. Despite the change in scenery, Tim continues to grapple with the traumatic memories of his wife’s rape and murder.

Webber’s novel aims to shed light on the trucking industry, which comprises about 10% of the nation’s population. “Behind each truck is not just a driver, but a human with a story, filled with challenges and resilience,” Webber said.

The tranquility of life on the road takes a turn when a fellow Saxon Brothers trucker falls victim to a theft ring operating out of El Paso, Texas. This incident, followed by an attack on Tim’s friend, JD Tolliver, prompts the owner of Saxon Brothers to take action. He enlists Tim’s help, drawing him back into a situation he’s hesitant to confront.

“Roll Me Away” is available in softcover (ISBN: 9781665749763), hardcover (ISBN: 9781665749787), and electronic (ISBN: 9781665749770) formats. It can be purchased from the author’s website, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble.

In addition to being a successful business owner and author, Webber is also a newspaper columnist, blogger, and weekly podcast host. He splits his time between Kankakee County, Illinois, and Maricopa County, Arizona, where he enjoys golfing, reading, and spending time with his grandchildren.
